[00:00:00] Speaker A: Welcome back to the rec room, the AI podcast from Traction Wreck, bringing you all the feature updates and news from our amazing team. I'm Jordan Williams and honestly, I am absolutely pumped to be back behind the mic today. The energy is high, the coffee is strong, and we have some massive updates to get into. [00:00:16] Speaker B: And I'm Maya Patel. It is so great to be back. And you're right about the energy. Today isn't just, you know, a regular update. This feels like the official kickoff to our 2026 season. [00:00:26] Speaker A: It really does. [00:00:27] Speaker B: We're looking at the year ahead and really how the whole Traction Wreck community is. Is coming together in a big way. [00:00:32] Speaker A: Exactly. If you're listening, check your calendar because things are about to get busy. We're talking about the 2026 user conferences. [00:00:39] Speaker B: We are. And I think it's important to talk about the why behind it all. I mean, with everything being so digital now, getting on a plane, it requires a pretty good reason for sure. And these gatherings, they're not just about putting people in a room to look at slides. The real focus this year is bringing together leaders, innovators, you know, community driven people. [00:00:59] Speaker A: So we're moving from how do I use this software to something bigger. [00:01:03] Speaker B: Exactly. It's more like, how does this software shape my organization's future? [00:01:07] Speaker A: That's a great way to put it. It's like writing the playbook instead of just reading the manual. Okay, so let's unpack this. We have two major stops on the tour. Stop number one, we're heading to the. [00:01:17] Speaker B: West Coast, San Francisco, which is such a fitting location. Right. San Francisco is all about that energy and innovation. It's the backdrop for the YMCA user conference. [00:01:26] Speaker A: I love that city. The vibe is perfect for this. So, okay, mark calendars. March 4th and 5th, 2026. This one is geared towards YMCA professionals. But like, let's play devil's advocate, if I'm a membership director at a yn, I don't know, Ohio, why am I flying to San Francisco? What's actually in it? [00:01:44] Speaker B: For me, that's the million dollar question. And it really comes down to depth. You can expect very hands on sessions. This is not just theory, it's product insights you can take back and use right away. [00:01:56] Speaker A: So less sitting in a lecture hall and more like opening the laptop and actually building solutions. [00:02:01] Speaker B: Precisely. It's tactile, but for me, the real magic, and I think a lot of people would agree, it's the peer conversations. [00:02:07] Speaker A: Okay. [00:02:08] Speaker B: You know, you're grabbing coffee and you meet someone from three states away who's solving the exact same problem you are. You just can't get that on a video call. [00:02:17] Speaker A: That is so true. It's those unplanned hallway track conversations that are sometimes the most valuable part. You realize you're not alone in whatever you're struggling with. [00:02:25] Speaker B: Absolutely. And we're curating these exclusive experiences to make sure those aha moments happen. You're not just networking, you're like crowdsourcing solutions for your day job. [00:02:35] Speaker A: Okay, so that's early March, San Francisco. But then we barely have time to unpack before we're right back at it. Stop number two, the Windy City. Chicago. [00:02:46] Speaker B: That's right. Just a couple of weeks later, March 16th through the 18th, we're heading to Chicago for the JCC user conference. [00:02:53] Speaker A: I am ready for some deep dish pizza. Not going to lie, but okay. This one's tailored for JCC professionals. How does this one compare to San Francisco? [00:03:03] Speaker B: It's interesting. The value is just as intense, but the flavor is a little different. Chicago is packed with more strategic sessions, meaningful conversations. There's a really strong emphasis on community building moments, which, you know, makes sense for the JCC audience. [00:03:18] Speaker A: Right. The operational rhythm can be different, even if the tools are pretty similar. Do you have to be a YMCA customer to go to SS or a JCC customer to go to Chicago? [00:03:27] Speaker B: The answer is a resounding no. And this is so important for people to understand. [00:03:31] Speaker A: I'm glad you said that. I've heard people from, say, a Boys and Girls Club think, oh, I guess I can't go to the JCC one. [00:03:36] Speaker B: Totally wrong. These conferences are an open invitation. We have partner organizations, the Boys and Girls Clubs of America, the Salvation Army, KROC Centers. Whether you're a current customer or just exploring what's possible, there is a seat at the table for you. [00:03:52] Speaker A: I love that. A seat at the table. It's about the whole REC ecosystem. So if I'm from a KROC center, that session on summer camp revenue at the JCC conference still applies 100% to me. [00:04:02] Speaker B: Precisely because the strategies for member engagement, streamlining operations using data, those are universal. In fact, having that diverse group makes the conversation richer. [00:04:12] Speaker A: It breaks the echo chamber. Okay, so we've established the learning is top tier. But let's be real. It's not just lectures and code. Right. My brain needs a reset after a while. [00:04:22] Speaker B: Oh, of course not. We're human beings, not hard drives. You can't just absorb information for three days straight. [00:04:27] Speaker A: Thank goodness. So what's the fun factor looking like this year? [00:04:31] Speaker B: Well, there Are exclusive hangouts and networking experiences built right into the agenda. It's designed to be social. It's not just go back to your room. It's let's go grab a drink, let's decompress together. [00:04:43] Speaker A: And I'm have to ask the swag. [00:04:45] Speaker B: I knew you were going to ask about the swag. You are obsessed. [00:04:48] Speaker A: I'm a simple man. I see a conference tote bag, I get excited. What are we looking at? [00:04:52] Speaker B: I can confirm there is a Traction rack gift for every single attendee. [00:04:55] Speaker A: Ooh, mysterious. Is it a tech gadget Apparel? Give me a hint. [00:05:00] Speaker B: I can't ruin the surprise. But I'll say this. It's something you'll actually want to keep. [00:05:05] Speaker A: Okay, fair enough. But speaking of new traditions, there is something brand new for 2026 that got me really excited when I saw it in the notes. [00:05:14] Speaker B: It is huge. We are launching the first annual Traction Wreck Impact Awards. [00:05:19] Speaker A: Finally. This feels like it's been a long time coming. We see so many amazing success stories. [00:05:24] Speaker B: It really has. This is about proving that we are, as a company, totally customer obsessed. It's about walking the walk and recognizing that the people are the drivers. [00:05:33] Speaker A: So who are we celebrating? Is this for like the CEOs? [00:05:37] Speaker B: Not at all. We are calling the honorees Tractioneers. [00:05:40] Speaker A: Tractioneers. I like it sounds like a superhero team. The Avengers of Rec Tech. [00:05:46] Speaker B: In a way, they are. They're the problem solvers, the collaborators, the people who take the platform, which is just code at the end of the day, and turn it into real world impact. [00:05:54] Speaker A: That's such a cool distinction because you can have the best software in the world, but if you don't have a human being pushing its boundaries, it's just code. [00:06:02] Speaker B: Exactly. Think about the admin who automated financial aid so families get approved in hours instead of weeks. Those are the stories we want to tell. [00:06:10] Speaker A: That gives me chills. That's the real why behind all of this. It's about access for families. I can't wait to see who takes home the hardware. [00:06:18] Speaker B: It's gonna be a highlight for sure. [00:06:20] Speaker A: Okay, so, Locations, Inclusivity, Fun awards. Now for the logistics, the brass tacks. [00:06:29] Speaker B: The practical stuff that gets your travel request approved, right? [00:06:32] Speaker A: So if I'm listening and I'm sold, what's the status? Can I just show up? [00:06:35] Speaker B: Please do not just show up. The status is go now. Registration is officially open, but spots are filling up fast. And I'm not just saying that to create fomo. And the agendas are officially live now too. So you can go look at the sessions and start mapping out your trip. [00:06:51] Speaker A: That helps so much with getting budget approval. You can show your boss the specific sessions on say, data analytics that you want to attend. [00:06:59] Speaker B: Absolutely. Tie it to your organization's goals. It shows the ROI before you even leave. [00:07:03] Speaker A: But what if I'm still on the fence? Or maybe I'm a partner and not sure which conference is the better fit for me. [00:07:10] Speaker B: Don't worry, we have a support system for that. [00:07:12] Speaker A: Who do they call? Ghostbusters? [00:07:14] Speaker B: Not quite. Reach out to your attraction rec engagement specialist. They are there to help you every step of the way. They can look at your goals and tell you which conference aligns best with your needs. [00:07:24] Speaker A: That's great advice. They're basically your conference concierge. [00:07:27] Speaker B: Basically. Let them guide you. [00:07:28] Speaker A: Now obviously March is the big month, but community isn't a once a year event. Right? It has to be continuous. [00:07:35] Speaker B: That is a core belief of ours. Learning happens year round. The conference should be the spark that lights the fire for the rest of the year. [00:07:42] Speaker A: So how do we keep that fire going? How do you stay plugged in? [00:07:45] Speaker B: A few key ways. First, the monthly community meetups. If you're not attending those, you are missing out on a regular pulse of information. [00:07:54] Speaker A: And those are virtual. Right? [00:07:55] Speaker B: Super easy to join, very accessible. Then there are the customer slack channels. That's where the real time peer to peer problem solving happens. [00:08:03] Speaker A: It's the hive mind. It's amazing. [00:08:05] Speaker B: It is. And finally, LinkedIn. Don't just look. Start a thread. Share what you learned. Our team is always ready to connect and listen. [00:08:14] Speaker A: Well said. You know, looking at all of this, it really feels like 2026 is a turning point. [00:08:19] Speaker B: I agree. It feels like we're moving past just using software to mastering impact. The limitation isn't the tech anymore, it's our strategy. [00:08:27] Speaker A: Mastering impact. I love that. So here's the bottom line for you listening. You have two incredible opportunities to connect. San Francisco in early March, Chicago in mid March. [00:08:38] Speaker B: And remember, whether you're a Y, a jcc, a Kroc Center, a boys and girls club, you are welcome. [00:08:44] Speaker A: So do not wait. Go register now before the spots are gone. Seriously, Open a new tab and lock it in today. [00:08:50] Speaker B: We can't wait to see you there. It's going to be unforgettable. [00:08:52] Speaker A: Thanks for tuning in to this rec room deep dive. We'll see you in San Francisco and Chicago. [00:08:56] Speaker B: See you there.
